  • Depends on his mood but if I scold him about his being too moody then he would do too many things from hanging out the clothes on the staywire to dusting...

  • Clean their rooms, pick up their toys, cloths into the laundry baskets, shoes lined up under their beds, clear their plates from the table, help set the table... They are 4 & 6

  • 5 year-old: brings laundry hamper to wash room, puts dishes away, puts clean clothes away and cleans her room and puts toys away from other rooms in the house... she will water plants when i let her

2 year-old: helps put dishes and her clean laundry away, puts toys away, throws away diapers and brings dirty cups to the sink

  • i have a poster board with money she can earn if she does any extra chores, like 12 cents for wiping down the coffee table, or 20 cents for dusting.. i did it more to help her learn coin change rather than to get her to do chores. it helps as a motivator though, when i do need help with the house. but really the only thing she is EXPECTED to do is keep her room clean and bring down her dirty clothes when i ask her to. she is six.

  • My 8 year old cleans her bathroom and room, will vaccuum, pick up the dog poop, dust, pretty much anything. She loves to clean, including hand washing dishes despite me using the dishwasher. She gets allowance but when she is really helpful she gets a little extra. The other day she surprised me by taking all the house trash out, including bathrooms and the kitchen. She makes it sooo easy to keep the house tidy.

My 2 year old helps unload the dishwasher, helps me load the dryer or take stuff out, helps clean her room and sets the table.
