Is this normal and how do I handle it?

Hello!
I have a 7 month old baby girl. I'm starting to notice that, during diaper changes or after bath time she moves her hand down and feels around. She could just be trying to reach the diaper, i don't know for sure. I know that when she does just wear a diaper around the house she tries to take it off just curious about the diaper itself.
My question is...Is this normal and what do I do?

What age do kids start becoming more familiar with their body?

Thanks! :)

  • The age that they start to notice body parts varies.

Its normal to self-discover. Don't freak about it. It's really no different than learning that they have toes...at least they can't get that part into their mouth, LOL

  • Yes it's normal. I wouldn't do anything about it since she is too young to understand.
