Kind of strange......bright vivid blue veins????

Okay I'm a paper bag brown (skin color) black girl....I have never been able to see my veins through my skin before....never.

So today while I was taking a shower earlier I noticed that the veins on both of my arms are this bright vivid florescent blue like glowing through my freaking skin like neon! WTH??? I started REALLY looking and it's like that all over my entire body...this really super bright blue....What does this mean????

I don't do drugs, I don't drink...the only thing I've eaten today was cream cheese with salsa and ritz crackers and some V8 splash....is this normal?

  • This may sound odd, but I do that after a hot, or even very warm shower. Hot/warm water increases blood flow :--)

  • Are you by any chance anemic? or is there lack of iron in your body or you feel your skin is looking pale too? If you are thin skinned(less fat) then too it may show: altogether there might be any one reason of them....

  • I ALWAYS look like I was drawn all over with blue marker after showering. I'm VERY pale so it definately freaked me out the first few times but it's totally normal. Like Katzmeow726 said, hot/warm water increases blood flow=]

  • I too have very visible veins, especially noticeable after a hot bath/shower. The veins in my hands are always very blue.

  • LMAO! well now I feel like a dummy lol.....that SERIOUSLY freaked me out....is there any reason why it would just start happening out of the blue? I don't think I'm anemic but I've never been tested @AnuMeha

.this is the first time I've ever noticed my veins look like this
