  • Yep. We're self-employed, so it costs an arm and a leg and has a really high deductible. We make sacrifices in other areas to make sure we have enough money to pay for necessities ourselves.

  • Yes - both DH and I have health insurance as a benefit from our employers, so the kids are covered, too.

  • I just started a job that has insurance. It hasn't kicked in yet, so for the next 2 months I am still without insurance.

  • Yes. I want to drop it because I'm paying almost $400 a month just for myself but DH won't let me (I have a heart condition that my insurance covers 100% since I was on it before diagnosis, I'm at risk for a heart attack because of it, and he doesn't want me to land in the hospital with no insurance - I understand where he's coming from but dangit that money is so hard to part with every month!).

  • ugh.. no... $300/mo just seems so crazy... i know we need it... 2yrs ago DD had emergency surgery & stayed in hospital for a week. at the time we did have insurance thru dh work. so you think that would teach us to keep insurance no matter what!
