What kind of healthy snacks do you provide for your kids?

I am guilty of giving fruit snacks and not so healthy treats. Just trying to get some other ideas. Diabetes runs in my family and I don't want to get my kid filled up on sugary un-healthy snacks.

  • My dd has snack time at school so I have to send healthy stuff. We do apple sauce cups, yogurt, strong cheese, apple slices, bananas, carrots and things like that.

  • My kids love carrots, grapes, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, celery, salsa, kiwi, and many more fruits and veggies. Apples and bananas are also a huge hit here.

  • Popcorn without all the butter and salt is actually good for you. It's a whole grain. Here's a link that you might find useful.

  • Fruits and Veggies are high in sugar too remember. Although, yes, they are healtheir then chips or sugar cadies.

    Multi-grain cheerios

  • They always have access to fruit\apples, bananas, oranges, strawberries, whatever I have) as well as cereal, toast or sandwiches. Those are their favs
