What did you do/will you do with your tax return?

I got mine yesterday! Only $196, since I didn't do much last year. I gave it to my roommate, since he's been paying rent for months - it was the least I could do! He gave me enough to get bus tickets and food at work, and the rest was his.
When his comes (which will be significantly more) we're getting a new TV and saving the rest.

So what'd you ladies do with yours? Or what do you plan on doing?

  • 2,000 went to pay off bills.
    2,000 went into savings.
500 went to a new TV.
500 went to getting new tires and a new tailpipe on the car.
500 went to new clothes and other things for our three kids.
And then we'll be buying things to fix up our home this summer ...
We got just over 10,000 this year.

  • I'm taking mine and turning my car back in and just buying one flat out to get rid of the 340 dollar monthly payment

  • Pay them. BTW it is much better if you don't allow the IRS use of YOUR money. Try to come out even on your taxes, don't use it as a "savings" account, that makes no sense.

Course, sometimes there are tax credits that result in refunds but other than that ~

  • New-to-me van for work, pay off 2 or 3 bills, buy new tires for my car, and hopefully have enough left over for a new computer & some savings for our vacation.
