  • Start taking away privileges every time he acts up but reward him when he behaves.

  • IGNORE THEM! they are obviously looking for attention so dont give it to them. make sure that you tell them that they dont get attention if they are being bad but if they are wanting attention just to ask for it nicely.
    Reward GOOD behavior.

  • OK, since my son could walk...well, by 1.5 for sure I will tell him at the store: Mommy only has 2 rules: 1) Stay w/ mommy at all times 2) Don't fall down on the floor and have fit.

I would make him tell me my rules before we ever left the house. If he through a fit...which was not more than once...he would get a swat when we got home, and he would have a time out. He'd rather have had the swat than the time out...so doing both was most effective. Like I said, one swat and I never had to do it again.
