Bath time help...

My two year old daughter HATES bath time. she will scream like she is being killed when the water touches above she shoulders while rinsing her off.. she will stand by the edge of the tub and just cry, i feel so bad. I have no idea how to help her other than wait and just let her scream. any ideas?

We had a bath seat but she would climb out, i have tried covering her eyes and trying to cover her mouth and nose real fast so water doesn't get in either. bath or shower, it doesnt matter which.. she will just cry :-(

  • Try not putting so much water in the tub.

  • yes, same thing.. as soon as the water gets on or above her shoulders she screams. I bathe my 2 year-old , set her on the potty and give my 5 year-old a shower while she (the 2 year-old) is still on the potty trying to get her to see that it isnt bad and big sister doesnt cry.. that and to help make sure she isnt getting into trouble while im not near by.

  • my son went through that stage but actually liked showers. now at 4, he can still be a pain, my 8 month old is better than him!

  • my son went through the same thing. now when i rinse his hair i have him lay on him back with his head in my hand then no water gets in his face. i would try bribing and saying if this hurts mommy will get you a lollipop or something. that is my best advice. hope it helps. good luck
