What are you spending this Christmas on your child?

How much are you spending on your child this Christmas?? We wanted to try and stay around $100 - 150 per child, but it's hard! Seems like all the "cool stuff" is super expensive this year. So I guess we're not getting cool stuff!

  • Well my 5 yo had a pretty big birthday so I am only spending around 100 on her. My son I am spending around 150 or 175 I think, he is 8.
I am spending 40 to 50 on my 1 yo.
    350 on 3 kids isn't too shabby ;)

  • I have always spent about 145 -160 on my daughter. This year having 2 now I spent about 120.00 on oldest and about 60 on my 9 month old.My oldest hasnt really been into the gift thing. Last year was the first year she has ever asked for anything. I also buy year round. I have a plastic bin which I strore things in all year. I have boughten these books with tricks and things for 2.00 each. With each book have 10 different tricks in them. I priced them and they go for 18.00 each. That way I get more for my dollar.

  • I usually try to keep it around 100-125 per kid. I have 4 so that adds up quick. But they're definitely not hurting. They'll get more stuff from grandparents and all that so they'll make out just fine.

  • I did manage to keep it around $150/kid and yes you're right most of the 'cool' toys are expensive this year ($40 for one Dance Cam, etc) -- so they will just get a few neat things instead of TONS of junk!

  • For my 12 year old I am shooting for $150 or less. For the one year old twins I think I can get by and not feel guilty at about $75 each. So approximately $300 for 3 kids. I know it will be more when the twins are older and into electronics.
