  • My boys were 9 and 7 when we found out I was pregnant with our third. I just asked how they'd feel about having a brother or sister and they started telling me how they'd play with him or her. Then I said, "no, I mean, you ARE getting a brother or sister, I'm pregnant." They freaked out screaming and clapping. My middle son yelled, "I'm finally going to be a big brother!" Just tell them. My boys were excited and liked to help pick out baby things and be involved in the pregnancy.

  • Send them a package with big brother/big sister t-shirts or a book on becoming a big brother/sister and sign a card with love from the new baby, can't wait to meet you. Make it so exciting and positive that they can't help but be happy too,

  • I'm pregnant again after 9 yrs! Just tell them. I'm sure they'll be excited. But also reassure them that their still your babies no matter how old they get.

  • ask them if they want a baby brother or sister.. when they give their answer (which will prob be yes) ask them when.. lol most kids that age can't wait and want the baby NOW!

  • I would wrap up a box of diapers in wrapping paper and tell them you have a gift for them. When they open it and are confused, tell them you are expecting :D

  • I would just sit them down, even if it's new and unplanned they will more likely be excited.
