Should i start prepairing now?

Dh has been laid off work since Jan. He has been able to get part time work for a little while with a buddy of his but nothing very steady. Last night we agreed that if nothing picks up, he finds a full time or we each get a part time so no babysitter is needed, we will go move to California where my parents live and are more than willing to take us in. My question is, should i start prepairing for the move or just wait and see? I want to have a yard sale and stuff like that before we move.

  • How much longer do you plan on staying where you are? In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to start preparing. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst! :-) G'luck!

  • You should always prepare. Start making a plan about how much it's going to cost to move, what things you have to take care of before you move, talk to your parents and get their advice and opinions, etc. You really should always have a worse case scenario plan even when you have reliable full time jobs. Then when the time comes that good turns bad you'll be prepared.

  • You should plain but not to automaticly assume the worst. But moving is a big change and you need to least plain to move and have things prepared in case you have to move.. But maybe a yard sell before you move though could help you guys to. Like with just enough money to get you by untill the move.

  • we set a 2 month time limit. we rent so we might end up getting kicked out for failure to pay rent. my mom has been harrassing us (not litterally but hinting lol) for about a year or more that she would like us over there. the main thing we will have to worry about when we move would be gas and food. we have tents and camping supplies so we can always stay over night at a campground. i am a bit biased, i want to move back but if things go good then we'll stay. and it also helps that ds isnt in school yet.
