What work outs did yall do while pregnant?

  • first trimester I did my normal high intensity workout. Then I scaled it down to walking and light prenatal yoga. I also played around with the wii fit.

  • When I was having babies, we didn't work out at all. LOL.Working out wasn't even heard of!
    It was the 1960's. But I think I did really well anyway. I only gained about 22-24 pounds and I could wear my regular pre-pregnancy clothes within a few weeks everytime. I never had a big appetite and i didn't have any "cravings" . My labors went really well too.

  • I did much of the same exercise as before, only I kept the intensity down a bit, ie heartrate at or below 145 and/or able to hold a conversation. These are 2 recommendations I've seen (145 is the old one)

    Did weights, just did not use heavy weights. I think I kept them 60-80% of pre-pregnancy levels.

    And no rowing machines or lying down or abdominal exercise.

    Lots of walking, some hiking, elliptical machine, lots of bike, especially near the end when jouncing made heartburn worse. Mostly in the gym where the climate is reasonable. I'd definitely have swum but our Y doesn't have a pool. I tried to keep workouts to 30-45 minutes max.

    Had the best/easiest labor, delivery, recovery ever so (even though a single personal experience means nothing) I am sold!

  • I did a lot of walking. I kept cycling until about 34 weeks, did yoga, and did weights at the gym through my whole pregnancy.
