Does breast milk stain?

  • I have found, yes it does if it's left on to dry. I had a bra that I just flung into the laundry basket, and later when I washed and dried it, there was a ring around the outline of the breastmilk spot. I just make sure to rinse my bras now if I leak.

  • yes. It put a yellowing tint in my bra's when leaking. even with the pads

  • yeah it does!!! it certainly stained my white bras. there's bright yellow stuff in bm that does stain

  • Mine left oily stains on all my shirts. I wound up having to spray all the spots with OxiClean at every wash.

  • i leaked on a thin brown shirt it looks like oil how do i get it out it's one of my fav shirts

  • I don't have a problem with breast milk because when my son was in the hospital he spit up on me and the stain was on there for like 2 months and got out.

  • It can. I have some shirts it washed out of fine and others were never the same.

  • Scrub it with Dawn dishsoap, then launder. Check if the stain's gone before drying it - if it's not gone, wash it again. Don't dry it til the stain is out or it'll be set in.
