DD will be three months on the 18th of Dec. And she is only eating 3 oz of formula at a time. She is eating about 10+ bottles a day. Ive tried to increase her but she wont take anymore then three. Is there anything I can do to get her on more then three or just not worry about it? I know they eat what they want and they stop when they are full. Juts need some reasurrence :o)

  • shes ok if 3oz is all she wants at a time then dont try and force her to eat more. sounds like shes getting plenty of formula so i wouldnt worry about it. now if she seems to slow down then i would worry. adventually she will eat more at once and get down to just a few bottles a day.

  • Don't worry about it. My daughter was a piggie and would take 7 oz at a time 4 bottles a day while my coworks baby who is a month older would take 4 oz at a time every 2 or 3 hours.

  • Her stomach can't hold more than what shes taking now so do try and make her eat more at once, she will eventually take more at once, it just takes time

  • my 5 month old did this for quite some time. she would take anywhere from 2-4 oz every hour to 3 hours it was so stressful! i can relate but for the amt that she is getting in a day shes fine. its hard to get them to get them spaced out more and eat more. mine JUST started eating 5-6 oz like shes suppose to. good luck

  • As long as she's growing at a normal rate you're doing everything right

  • Don't worry about it yet, you'll probably regret making her take more than her teeny belly can handle at a time. Before you know it she'll be chowing down! :)
