Can you be a surrogate Mother if you have your tubes tied?

I just had my last child about a month ago and thought of mabe becoming a surrogate mother for my sister in law, can this happen with my tubes tied? Or do they have to be reversed inorder to do it?

  • I believe so....they can create an embryo with another woman's egg and sperm, and place it inside your uterus, which has nothing to do with your tubes, you just carry the child to term.

  • You can! Your tubes are tied so you cannot release an egg of your own but you can have a fertilized egg placed in your uterus! Thats a wonderful thing for you to do!

  • absolutly!! you can't release your own eggs, but they are still there. other than that, with invitro they can use someone elses eggs and whatnot. your uterus didn't get tied so thats no problem
