What would you do if you got a terrible manicure?

I went to get a manicure tonight, and bewtween my nails and getting my eyebrows waxed it took the lady all of about 5 minutes to finish. Luckily my eyebrows came out ok, but my nails look sooo bad. I definitely could have done a better job myself for free. I am not very particular about my nails, but if I am paying someone to do something then I expect them at put at least some effort into it! So I only gave her a 2 dollar tip. What would you have done?

  • I would pay because that is the right thing to do to show you are a customer worth serving. However I would give a bad review to anyone who asks about nail services. I would recommend them not go there.

  • I'm just curious how a manicure & eyebrow job can take only 5 minutes? I get my nails done about once a month (manicure) and it takes anywhere from 45 mins to an hour.

I'f I've gone somewhere and I didn't feel like they did a satisfactory job, I would still pay them, not leave a tip and not come back. There are too many other places that I can go.

  • I do my own nails and they look good. I also pluck my eyebrows. In these days it is really foolish to throw your money away on these beauty services. They don't do a thing for you. BEauty comes from within.

  • I would not have paid unless they were redone by someone who knew what they were doing. If I pay for a service expect it to satisfactory!

  • I wouldn't have tipped her anything and I wouldn't have paid for the manicure either. Ask for the manager next time. Maybe the girl was new??

  • I would have had her give me a manicure and definitely redo the painting. Did you pay a lot? I would not have tipped.. sorry, it stinks to waste money.. you may want to go back and talk with the manager and show him/her your nails. See if you can get it redone.

  • A tip? Are you kidding? I wouldn't have even paid. I would have said, excuse me, but you did a horrible job and I'm not paying for my hands to be mutilated. Then gone somewhere else. What a waste of money.

  • I would have complained and definitely would not have tipped. Why didn't you say anything before she finished though? You had to have seen that she was messing up.......
