Best pads for an 11 y/o? dd just started her period

I went to the store and bought ultrathins because i thought they would be best. i got home and opened the package and they are really long and big and won't fit in her little underwear. I don't use pads.... any suggestions????

  • There are different lengths of ultra-thins. I always liked stay-free the best when I started out at 12, though I haven't used pads in years now.

  • ultra thin with wings (normal).

  • I use the Always with wings. They're in green with normal flow I believe. They're the same pads I have used since I was 13 and got my first period. Love them, and they're super thin.

  • try panty liners.

  • I use the always with green wrap as well... they are the best for me. My 13 year old started when she was 9 and she would NOT use anything with wings... she really hated them. She likes the ultra thin but she just dont like the wings. You might have to get a few different kinds and let her choose what is best suited for her. Good luck!!

  • We were just discussing this in one of my groups. Someone suggested emailing the different companies and getting some free samples to try and figure out which works best.
