Ladies, I think it may be time to call our Congress people.

I think we will all want to support this one.

  • BTW, I get a list of all available bills on my blackberry using the visible vote free app. The site is kind of Conservative leaning, the app is pretty straight forward. Just a list of bills and links to let your reps know how you feel about them.

I would feel like a stalker or a nut if I called any of them. So, no.
But I certainly would be happy if they all got pay cuts.

  • You can email as well. It's not like you are texting their personal cell. You get a staffer who is paid to record how you feel about whatever bill.

  • Sure, I will but though it would make people feel a bit better it won't do any good to reduce the deficit.

  • Holy Moses.... Minne... you want them to get pay-cuts.... but you're too afraid of what they might think of you if you called to voice your opinion?? Man up Woman! They work for us... you wouldn't let any other employee name their own salary and you wouldn't sit by complacent if you found out they had their hand in the till. I'll do what I can, emails, calls, clicks, doesn't matter.. count me in on voicing my support for them getting their pay cut by AT LEAST the 5%... I'd vote for more.

So you "feel like a nut" sending a message to YOUR elected official, telling them you DO or DON'T support a bill?!?! Wow.

In taking the REACTIVE approach, and letting OTHERS do what you should be doing, you are not being a responsible voter!! As far as I'm concerned, if you're not holding YOUR elected officials feet to the fire, you have no right to complain or "wish" that things were different. Considering the fact that you can't seem to get enough of the Politics section, I'm actually kind of surprised you don't take a more active approach!! Passivity is soooo 70's!! LOL
