What is wrong with my daughter

my 7 year old bites scratches, and now stabs herself with objects. She says its because she get sad and she wants to see blood. I am super freaked out because during all my research, this is not typical of someone so young. Has anyone known of mentle illness starting so young? I am getting her into theripy, but I am so worried because I had a lot of these problems as a teen, and have diognosis of borderline personality disorder. She has never seen any odd behavior in me, but seems to be doing the same things.

  • Sorry to say but your daughter needs HELP now. She is self mutilating herself for attention. It is a mental disorder and only therapy can help. Good luck!

  • Who said this isn't an emergency? The child is harming herself! In my book, that IS an emergency.

  • If your child is hurting herself, it's an emergency. She's so so young, don't risk it! Take her in immedietly, please.
