Can you use Monistat for a yeast infection if you're pregnant?

  • That's the only time I have ever had a yeast infection and that's what they gave me (when it was RX only) and then when it was OTC that's what they told me to get.. But I would check with your OB, things have changed since I was last pregnant plus are you sure it is a yeast infection??

  • I think it's safe to use Monistat when you're pregnant. Stay away from Vagisil though. And maybe check with your doctor before self medicating anyway.

  • my doctor told me when your pregnant you have to be seen and be prescribed something and that was 2 weeks ago

  • If you use the seven day formula it should be fine. Always ask your OB first though to be safe.

  • When I had a YI while pregnant, my midwife said only to use it on the outside, not to insert it into my vagina. But definitly ask your own doc before self-diagnosing/treating.

  • When I had a yeast infection during pregnancy, my dr prescribed diflucan for me.
