  • I breastfed our first daughter while pregnant with our 2nd. I always get dehydrated from nausea while pregs. I only lasted about a month breastfeeding because I was so drained.

  • I had a 2 month old as well & found out i was pregnant again so my doctor told me that i needed to stop breast feeding for mine & the babies health. I think i already knew that even before i asked him because my milk supply was very low & i was becoming very fatigued. Ask your doc to make sure.

  • Yes! Unless you have a high risk pregnancy, and are advised by your doctor otherwise, you can SAFELY continue to breastfeed. You might even want to consult a lactation consultant, as few doctors are experts in breastfeeding. Here are some great resources for you:

  • there is NO reason to stop BFing just b/c of normal pregnsancy. only if you are TRUE high risk/premie-watch do you need to stop
i BF'd my DD1 throughout my pregnancy with DD2 and am tandem BFing both of them still today ;)

  • keep breastfeeding him as long as you'd like. i'd wean him off a couple months before the due date unless you're fine with breastfeeding both at once.
    good luck

  • kbakeman- Yep i agree. I'm not telling OP not to breastfeed but letting her know my experience. I could no longer breastfeed because my milk supply was pretty much gone & it was causing me to feel very tired & dehydrated. I am glad i did listen to my doctor or i would have been starving my baby. OP if you notice any irregular symptoms or if you feel like you are not producing that much keep an eye on it & talk with your doctor. I hope there are no problems with it though because breast is best! Oh & CONGRATS!!!
