Have you or do you...pour food into the toilet

like if my son does not eat his soup or his cereal I will pour it down the toilet I figure it is not any different then if he threw up....it's not like I'm throwing down oatmeal down the toilet which would really clog up the system...I'm just thinking a bowl of milk and half eaten corn flakes doesn't hurt anything

  • my old place didn't have a garbage disposal and i always threw that stuff in the toilet. my dd and i didn't create a lot of trash, so the garbage didn't go out more than once every few days. i didn't want old mac n cheese or whatever sitting in my house for three days til i took it out... eeew.

  • The difference I can see between dumping food in the toliet and throwing up is the frequency. After dealing with major plumbing issues I don't flush anything I don't have to.

  • I'm laughing because I just did that last night and wondered if anyone else does. I wouldn't if we had a garbage disposal but we don't. And some stuff just stinks if its in the garbage.

  • As long as you aren't on a septic tank, it isn't a big deal. But I'm with Scout Mom....it is the FREQUENCY.
