  • YES! i use to work in childcare and i when choosing our boys names it was so hard i every name we came up with i would think about all the little shits with that name!

  • ... and yet, once you name your child a name, it really doesn't matter what it made you think of before, because it very quickly just comes to mean him or her!

  • yes definately because names do have a huge affect on personality. why risk your kid being like that person you weren't fond of?

  • Absolutely! DH and I have been raising at risk youth for the past 17 years. When it's been time to name one of our children, we've each made a list of names that we like and then look at the other's list. There have been MANY times that we've cut down one list or the other due to "yuk that name makes me think about ...." LOL
