In your opinion...

If a woman is abused by her husband for years and then hires a hitman to kill her husband, would you convict her for murder if you were on the jury?

  • I would have to convict her if there were sufficient proof. On the other hand if she killed him herself she might have a chance at a self defense plea.

  • It if were pre-meditated, then yes.  She had other options available to her, murder wasn't one of them.

  • I would convict her of murder. Their is always a different way out of the relationship. Like walk away from it.

  • If I believed she was in her right mind. Depending on her level of abuse and how long it had been going on, I think that can really affect someone mentally.

  • Yes.

    If something happened while she was defending herself against his abuse and attacks on her, that's one thing. If she planned it and there was evidence that she hired someone to do it, that's another thing entirely.
