Could we see this here? Do you think it would be on a larger scale and more violent?

LONDON -- Police say protesters have thrown paint bombs and light bulbs filled with ammonia at officers in London's center during a demonstration against budget cuts.

London's Metropolitan Police said Saturday a group of black-clad demonstrators also threw paint bombs at shops and banks on the main shopping streets of Oxford Street and New Bond Street.

The group had broken away from a larger march organized by the Trade Union Council to protest against government cuts to public services.

Organizers say the main demonstration has attracted at least 100,000 people and is otherwise peaceful.

  • I think you'd see something more akin to Rodney King, not Wisconsin Union.

  • I think that if things like FS, Medicaid, HUD funding, etc. were cut even by half we would see rioting that would make what is going on in merry old England look like a nice picnic in the park ~ at least in major cities and a few areas of the country.

I think that if those services were just eliminated, we would see rioting along with a lot of deaths ~ and finally figure out that there aren't enough NG available to stomp on that many dangerous people (hungry people become dangerous people in about three days).

Unions cost the taxpayers a small fortune, but at this point the states as well as the federal government are far enough into the red that getting rid of them will only slow down the inevitable. It will get ugly. It will get ugly fast.

  • And conservatives at the far right are too close to being nazi's.They don'r care if a whole lot of people have no health plans and might die young. Why would they care? They think only conservative right wing christians deserve to live a long life and the rich ones always have health care so....who cares about the poor and unemployed who have no health care.I would not mind paying higher taxes and do without so that there could be affordable health care.....everyone deserves health care.

I think this one just topped the stupidity scale.

  • I think were too lazy to protest that way. I mean come on, the next reality show might be missed if we all got up and protested.

  • THIS is what happens when you abolish unions and take away colective bargaining from the Union workers.....it happened in Germany. It happened in Wisconsin.

So are you implying that America is going to gas Jews? Have you forgotten why he abolished unions? He didn't abolish them. He replaced them with a national union. Unions were front and center of his cause. The German Labor Front. Stay off the leftists smear sites gerpielu. They give you false information.

This is a prime example of the 'half truths' we discussed earlier. An omission of facts from a story makes the story a lie. It doesn't make it a 'half truth' or a 'half lie'. It is a whole lie.
