What food do you love but can't get where you live now or that is not made any more?

We were stationed in Spain with the military and there's a few things from there that I LOVE but can not get here.

nispero fruit (aka Loquat)

And Jamon Iberico:
Ooh and tinto verano (red spanish wine mixed with La Casera lemon beverage)
So yummy, all of them lol. Wish I could go back! What foods do you miss?

  • A real Margherita Pizza from Naples. I also wouldn't mind some Chick-fil-A. And some Grandma Utz old fashioned potato chips. The type cooked in lard.

  • Surprised you can't get loquats there. I live in California - they're grown here, too.

    I miss Crispy M&Ms.

  • Sorry April.. should have been a little more specific. What I meant was, with as much produce as California exports I'm surprised they're not there.

  • Plum jam is never on sale here , cannot understand why . Canned steak pies in round flat tins with flaky pastry , gorgeous and made with real meat , not that mechanically deboned muck . Superseded by frozen , which are pathetic and mostly sludge . Jaffa oranges, so much better than the mass market fruit . And Seville oranges , so I can make my own marmalade . Ham and Egg pies and pork pies like they have in the UK , calorie- laden but delicous.

I live in Canada which must have the worst sausages in the world . Why is it sausages here are dreadful and expensive ?
