  • We did little finger foods like crackers and dip and fruit. We didn't have a big meal.

  • We had our reception at the four SEasons in a restaurant called the Verandah. it was basically a 4 or 5 course deal with choice of either, chicken picatta, salmon, a veggie dish, and then salads, soups, desserts, etc...there was only 12 of us so we splurged :)

  • We did a buffet at the hotel where our reception was. Some (fancy?) people say buffets are tacky. It was delicious and a the most economical way to feed 175 people we could find.

  • We had so much food at our wedding.. Of course, our wedding lasted in total for 3 days.. lol (Hindu weddings are big, long, to-do's.. lol)..

Standards were: Samosas, various Dahls and rice, Pakoras, different Chutneys, Naan & Rotis (some stuffed), Aloo Bhaji, a couple of different Paneer dishes, Tandoori Chicken, Kabobs (mutton), Gulab Jamun

These are just the foods I remember right off the top of my head.. My wedding was nearly 26 years ago.. lol

  • Ours was an informal wedding in the park, so we had lots of finger foods and someone on the grill.

  • Sorry no help, we eloped! Our wedding night dinner was high end Italian though. We had a tasting menu of Osso Buco Milanese (veal shank) & a squid dish & a pasta sampler we got to watch the chef hand make the pasta of. Uber tasty and romantic.

We had ORIGINALLY planed on doing a reception with friends and family a few months later but if turned into a baby shower since we had a honeymoon baby. The reception would've been finger foods, bbq, buffet, etc.
