Just returning from Branson - great things to see

We are just returning from Branson MO where we spent spring break with our kids ages four, six, and eight. We dis a few awesome thongs we'd recommend for any family. Diary, we went to the fish hatchery and it was awesome and free! We also went to silver dollar city but the beat thing there is Marvel was amazing and our kids loved it. We also went to see the show Amazing Pets which is really fun for litle kids. And one o the kid's favorite things was bumper boats and go karts. We stayed at Gran Country Inn which isn't the nicest place but they do have an old (kind of dumpy) indoor waterpark the kids liked but it is a small waterpark. If you ever stay there make sure you request a room as close to the waterpark as you can. If you have any recommendations on fun family trips please let me know.

  • This summer we took a nice week long trip to Louisville, KY, Memphis, TN, and Nashville. There are a lot of things to do that don't cost a ton of money. Of course there are always the pools at the hotels to fill time, but we went to the Louisville Science Center, the Louisville Zoo, Mammoth Caves, and the Cheesecake Factory in Louisville, plus there was a kind of crappy arcade that the kids had a blast at. In Nashville we watched a baseball game and then went to the country music hall of fame and ate at a Joe's Crab Shack. In Memphis, we had planned our trip around Elvis week. We stayed at an awesome hotel with a guitar shaped swimming pool (I believe it was a Days Inn) that was RIGHT across the street from Graceland and offered a free walk over tour of the meditation garden where Elvis is buried outside his home every morning. Then of course we toured Graceland. We went to the major street down town where they had a Hard Rock

  • Cafe. We had a blast from start to finish, but it was hotter than sin and the AC went out in our vehicle halfway through the trip...aaaahhhh.

We have also been to Chicago and did the city pass. That was another awesome trip.

    Neither trip was very expensive!
