Good Childrens Christmas Books?

Does any one know of any good Childrens Christmas books that tell the story of Jesus? I have been looking for a while but have not found any good ones that tell the story well and that I think my kids will enjoy reading every year.

  • Wouldn't you know I can't think of the title, but it was a story using a combination of Christmas Hymns to tell the stories of the three wise men bringing gifts to baby Jesus and told the story of the virgin Mary. I'll have to ask my mother what it was tomorrow when I see her.

  • Max Lucado has wonderful children's books (and grown up books). So inspirational.

  • I don't remember the author, but my favorite Christmas children's book is called The Legend of the Candy Cane. My kids STILL love it - and they are 12, 8, and 6.

  • We have a boxed book set called "What God Wants for Christmas:", it includes a nativity scene background, each night you read a part of a story you open a box and it shows one of the people from the nativity scene, the last box is what god wants for christmas and it is a box with a mirror in it. We have started this as a tradition and follow the story every year, and each year my kids ask more and more questions. I love it.
