My DS is 6, last Saturday he started getting low-grade fevers (100-101) and they'd break with tylenol or ibuprofen and by Tues. night he was feeling better, no fever all day Wed. but Thurs. he woke up feverish again and it has continued. Today his nose is a little plugged & his throat sounds swollen when he talks but otherwise he is not saying much (like saying his stomach hurts or his head or anything like that). He is sleeping & drinking but barely eating. We had a virus in the house the week before, his little brothers both got it earlier than him but it didn't last as long with them (they're 3 & 1). What do you do for continual fevers?

I wouldn't have given any meds for a low fever such as 100-101 - they are there to help kill the virus. My kids will get a fever like that for 2-3 days, barley act sick and then it just goes away. Fever is not always a bad thing - it's how the body fights off things, by making it inhospitable to virus and bacteria. If there is a fever with a sore throat call his doc ASAP first thing in the morning, other wise call Monday morning to touch base and see hoe to proceed.
