How do you take your pulse by time?

I've been having a hard time finding my pulse on my wrist or even in my neck,is there other places to do this.I know you hold your wrist and count the beats for 30 seconds?Is this right?

  • The pulse on your wrist is below your thumb just past the joint and yes you count the beats for 30 seconds and then double it.

  • You can take your pulse for 6 seconds, then add a zero to the count you get (multiply by 10). So if you got 7 beats in 6 sec. you would have 70 beats per minute.

    You could take it for 10 seconds and multiply what you get by 6.

    You could take it for 15 sec. and multiply by 4.

    Any way you your beats per 60 seconds.

    When taking your pulse, use your first two fingers. Don't use your thumb.
