Is there a certain amount of formula my 3 month old should eat during a feeding, she jumps around and sometimes i feel like its too much at one time???

  • My boys were taking about 6 ounces at this age.. They were "hardy" eaters! I let them take as much as they wanted until they were full. Thy would refuse more when they were full.

  • You can always ask the pediatrition. Any thing over 4 oz is probably too much at this age, my girls drank 24-30 oz a day ( 3-4 oz bottles every 3-4 hours)

  • At about 6 months old I moved up to 5-6 oz of formual per bottle.

  • my daughter (who is now 7 months) drank as much as she wanted. although at 3 months we were just starting bottle feeding. she would eat between 4 and 6 oz every 3 hours. but i actually let her eat until she was ful.

    now that shes 7 months shes drinking around 8-10 oz every 3 hours (give or take an hour or two for naps)

    honestly its up to your baby. you need to remember formula is different then breastmilk. formula doesnt change to b what the baby needs which is why formula fed babies eat more at one time and then also go through growth spurts every few months and eat more then they used to.
