I'm starving my son...

well not on purpose, all he wants is chips and cookies and i tell him no he needs to eat something else like a banana or and apple then he can have a cookie. So he just goes hungry because he refuses to eat ANYTHING healthy.

  • we have went to the point of not keep junk in the house. once in a while we will have a homemade cake or cookies. but the kids can't have them till after supper and they have to clean off their plates. after school they can only have apples, bananas, grapes or what every fruits we have at the time.

  • He'll eat something eventually, but as long as the double standard exists, then he will hold out for the goodies. The whole family needs to be on the same eating page . . . so if your husband wants you son to eat healthier, then he needs to be okay with not having that stuff in the house.

I'd throw out what you have or have your husband take all of those goodies to work.

  • Just don't make a big deal about it. Put a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread and carrot sticks on the coffee table and walk away. Don't watch or say anything. He'll eat it.
