  • I am seriously considering doing this very thing this summer. I'm hoping to see a huge drop in the electric bill.

  • I dont think you will see a huge drop in you electric bill, mom has washer an dryier with loads and loads to wash and dry and only pays about 10 dollars more per month then I do without washer and dryer. And her apartment is in the same complex and hers has an additional room. Unless of course you need to run the dryer 10 times a day its a different story. But for her its wash load for 6 people.

  • We do and we do see a small drop in our bill. Any drop is a good drop.

  • Yes, when we have a clothesline. When we move I'll be making that a MAJOR priority!
I dried all the diapers on the line...and it keeps them looking like new.

  • No. I hate the way clothes feel when dried outside. They are so stiff.

  • No. It's always raining here and I have no where to hang it. I did toss some jeans over our back fence this summer because they didn't get fully dried at the laundromat. The wind blew them off. Luckily it was into our yard and not the neighbor's where their dog would have chewed them up. I was thinking of rigging up some clothes lines this summer for when it isn't rainy but I doubt it ever gets done.

  • Yes, always have and always will, except when it rains . I also do laundry in cold water as any savings on the electricity bill are worthwhile .
