When did your child count to ten?

just wondering when everyones little ones counted to ten.

  • I think it was around 16 months.. It was crazy.. She is about to turn 2 and now goes to 20.

  • My son started counting to ten consistently when he was 5 almost 6. He knew his numbers before then and he would count to ten perfectly sometimes at the age of four, but it wasn't until the early part of kindergarten that he could count to ten every time. We are now working our way up to 20 but sometimes he gets stuck on 17 and skips to 71, 72, etc.

  • Around 18 months he could both count to ten and identify the numbers by sight. He actually learned to identify the numbers before he learned to count, thanks to Sesame Street!
