  • i have been in many heated bikini debates on cafemom over the years. It seems the majority of people think it's either no big deal, cute, not sexual, or that it makes it easier on the mom to help young daughter use the toilet if they're in a 2 piece

bikinis (padded push up or otherwise) in my opinion should not be MADE in sizes newborn to 18 years old. They're made to show cleavage, stomach, hips, and other sexual adult body parts. Your 7 year old doesn't have hips or boobs nor should she be paraded around the beach or pool wearing adult clothes made with less fabric for her smaller body. It grosses me out and the minute I see a friend dress their child in trash I no longer want my kids involved with theirs. A complete lack of modesty is why todays teens have no self control or morality.

  • The only reason why someone would wear a padded top or push up is to draw attention to their sexuality...there is nothing sexual about a child, nor should a mother draw attention to it.

  • What's disgusting is that parents will actually buy this for their daughter and think it's cute.

  • I personally think that any mother who wants to sexualize their daughter by dressing them so inappropriately needs her head examined. Our daughters grow up way too fast as it is. Now we seen very young children being forced to dress and act way beyond their years. What the heck happened to letting children be,children? What possible good thing could come from putting a push up bra or swimsuit top on a non or barely developed little girl? Why would you want your little girl to look like she has breasts at the beach? Who do you want to look at her? You sexualize your daughter from before she is even developmentally able to understand sexuality then can't understand why your daughters act like hoochie mama's when they get to be teens. Why would anyone want their little girls to look like they have breasts? How about some morals? Why not cover them up and let them stay innocent for awhile?
