  • to see if your pregnant? I think they are around 100%

  • They're significantly less than 100% accurate:

False positives (when they read 'pregnant' and you're not) are extremely rare, and are usually a result of an undetected miscarriage or a very rare form of ovarian cancer.

False negatives happen frequently for all kinds of reasons, from obesity to being a 'low emitter' of hCg.

  • They're just as accurate as urine samples, if not more accurate. All they're looking for is the level of HCG in your blood to determine if you're pregnant. If that's infact what you're refering to.

  • They are VERY accurate as long as you are 7 days past ovulation.

They can determine whether your HCG is over 5 indicating a pregnancy where as most sensitive urine test cannot pick up a pregnancy until your HCG is at least twenty.
