Will wearing a girdle help my body bounce back from my c-section?

I have one that looks like a pair of undies. It feels SOO nice to wear. Everything feels supported and comfortable. Just wondering if it would help at all!!

  • Your incision needs to heal first. ;-)

  • not really, i was told not to wear one cause it could cause my body not to heal is fast as it should

  • i didn't wear one, but i know what you mean, i held a pillow up against me. i know some hospitals give out a belt-like thing for people to hold it up. i don't think it will help you bounce back any faster, but it is comfortable.

  • I would say if you want to wear it when you go out (bumpy car rides, lots of walking etc) then go for it. But the PP is right, your skin/incision needs to be able to breathe to heal well. Don't wear it all the time.
