how do i get son to sleep in his own bed?

He wont sleep in his crib, ive tried putting him in there when hes tired and that doesnt work, i try to put him in there and let him cry it out... that doesnt work, i give him some comforst things like a toy or a blanket.... he doesnt like that either. But we are getting to a stage where he is going to be up and walking and i cant have him getting up and walking away in the middle of the night.

  • WELL DOES HE CLIMB OUT OF THE CRIB OR DO YOU TAKE HIM BACK OUT ? IF YOU TAKE HIM OUT THEN HE KNOWS YOU WILL AND THAT IS WHY HE WILL CRY AND CRY YOU HAVE TO LEAVE HIM THERE HE WILL STOP AFTER A BOUT 3 NIGHTS OF YOU NOT PICKING HIM UP ! MY BABY DID THE SAME THING DON'T GIVE IN OR THE NEXT 17 YEARS WILL BE BAD !

  • i agree with pp about not taking him out. he knows you will give in. what i did for my son was put an air mattress, you could use a regular mattress, on the floor in his room and i slept in there with him for about 3 days i think. he would wake up and cry and i wouldn't talk to him or anything. i know it sounds mean but they have to learn that sleeping in their bed and in their room is okay. also make sure he does have a lovey. after the three days i started sleeping in my room again and just let him cry it out. also my son uses a pacifier at night that may help too.
