Yeast infection

Has anybody ever been told it's ok to use an OTC yeast infection kit? Like Monistat 7 or something of those sorts while pregnant? Thanks!

  • Yeah but I had one so severe when I was pregnant(it was my first of 2 yeast infections and didn't know what it was) that the dr gave me an oral pill to take. It was just a one-time pill. I actually had developed a fever it had gotten so bad.

  • It's ok to use monistat. I'm pretty sure youre not supposed to use vagisil though because some ingredient in it numbs or something lke that. Just ask your doctor first to be sure. Maybe you should ask for a prescription.

  • I did with this pregnancy. Just get the longer acting kit instead of the one day thing. Apparently during pregnancy, the one dose kit doesn't always work well. So, save your money and just go for the longer acting kit.

  • I've actually never had a yeast infection so I don't have any experience with the kits but my daughter and I got thrush when she was breastfeeding, which is a yeast problem. I started taking a probiotic and it helped so much.
