  • Depending on how old she is you might try some Step 1 baby food. I always gave my baby the step 1 applesauce or pears and poured it into the formula. She may be sick - if she continues on this route you may want to take her to the dr. or er. They get dehydrated very quickly. Here is a website that will hopefully help:

  • I wonder if she's sick with a virus. I'd be more concerned about fluids than food at this point. When my son was sick awhile back and wouldn't eat or drink, I figured out that I could get him to take some pedialyte if I gave it to him in a medicine syringe. I spent all day squirting tiny amounts of purple pedialyte into his mouth, but it worked. Does your doctor have an after hours phone number? I think I would call and run the situation by someone. Good luck, mama.

  • She won't starve herself. She could just not feel well, have a sore throat. There are times when you don't feel like eating. Try some pedialyte to keep her hydrated if she goes much longer. You can't force her to eat if she dosen't want it.

  • She probably has a sore throat. I would take her to the pedi. Happened to my son one time I had to feed him liquids through a syringe.

  • How old is your baby? When was the last bowl movement? Did she cry or act like she is in pain or so? Fever?

Sit her up and give her a little back rub. It could be gas in her stomach and she doesn't feel like to eat.

  • I agree to get her seen because of the possibilty of dehydration, especially if the reason that she doesn't feel like eating is a sore throat. She should be at least sipping fluids.
