  • it depends on the chapter you file.......... if you do things perfectly and exactly as your lawyer instructs you may have a chance after 2 years with a decent enough down payment. after a discharge you'll want to get a credit card (secured, most likely is all you'll be offered at 1st) and pay it up/down monthly to get positive credit score communication going.

  • We were told 3 years and there can be NO negative reports on your credit reports at all between bankruptcy and mortgage, not one, not any, for no reason doesn't matter. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

  • You have to wait 3 years to get a loan. If you can buy a house outright in cash, you can do it whenever.

  • Credit counselling said they generally require 2 years and no negative reports on your credit.
