2 Bumps

2 yr old severely anemic

we just found out my 2 yr old is severly anemic. are there anyone else who is going through this as well?

  • My son was really anemic when he was in the nicu and the needed to give him blood trans. It's was fine after that but if they want to give him blood it will be ok and if not don't be to worry about it give him the foods what will help anemic idk when they are off the top of my head

  • I am severely anemic, but fortunately my kids are not. Did they find out why he/she's anemic?

  • give your child things that are high in iron, like peanut butter

  • Thank you all!
    He has a G6PD DEFIENCY which can cause severe anemia! Some kids don't have symptoms but appearantly he is.

  • Be sure to serve a vitamin C source with iron-rich foods; the C helps with the absorption of the iron.
