I have had my second child. I am wondering is it normal or usual that she is delayed because my first was talking (letting me know what he wanted) not just by pointing and walking. But my second child she is very lazy when it comes to learning new things.

  • They are just different. My first took longer to walk than my second but my second is taking longer in learning to talk than my first. I wouldn't say your child is "lazy", she is just going at her own pace.

  • I agree, my first talked a lot sooner. But now my second is catching up, and growing fast! He's saying sentences sooner than my daughter did too. Just give them time, and if you have concerns then speak with your pediatrician :)

  • My second child learns by observing. He basically learns everything by sitting next to us when i teach my older son. I dont' have struggle with my second one at all, he potty trained in 4 days and by 4 he doesn't need diaper day or night.

My older son.... oh tell me about it. I took me a year to potty train him.
