  • Try Magic Eraser, Dissolvit, or Mess Master. All of these we have used in the craft store where I work and they will remove just about anthing from any surface.

  • I would leave it, turn the can around and write it on the other side. That really sounds like something I would do!!!

  • I agree with coala- Magic Eraser! But it may take the color off the trash can, so test it on the bottom or something first!

  • you can try a magic eraser, acetone (nail polish remover), hair spray, hand sanitizer (anti-bacterial), goof off, or WD 40...I've been there, hope you have one of the following and it does the trick for you.

  • Magic eraser would be my first try. If your can is painted it will take the paint off, but so will most of the other suggestions. For a painted can I would use WD40.

  • If it is a plastic can - anything with acetone or alcohol will ruin the finish of the plastic - kind of melt it.

  • I think Magic Eraser will work. It works on most everything.
