What all can you compost?

  • no meat or dairy products. It will reak to high heaven. Anything plant based.

  • We compost all veggie items, no meat, no dairy. Our compost doesn't get hot enough to repel the pests one tends to get with adding meat and dairy - in our case, mice and rats.

    Places that have huge compost heaps like Whole Foods take anything that was organic at some point. But their compost gets very hot and the mouse/rat thing isn't an issue.
