I am looking for a cornbread casserole dish? Any ideas?

Not tamale pie, or sloppy Joe cornbread.

Something with hamburger that's traditional or a little more southern. :)

  • Ooooh, my mom's Mexican Cornbread is sooo good. Bare with me and I'll try to type it up.

    2 pkgs of cornbread mix
1 lb of cooked ground beef
    1 can of corn
    1 can of creamed corn
2 cups of shredded cheddar plus for more top
    1/4 cup jalapenos
    1 bell pepper, sauteed
    1 onion, sauteed
    2 eggs

Combine everything except jalapenos. Top with cheddar cheese and jalapenos. Bake at 350 or 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. This is my family's favorite recipe. You can spice it up if you like by adding jalapenos to the ground beef. You can make it with ground turkey.
