I'm scheduled to have a c-section in 4 weeks, and I want to start making meals I can make and freeze for the first week or three after the baby is born. My husband will be home for the first week after the baby is born (he's not a cook except for on the grill.)
I'm looking for meals that freeze well. Foods that won't get mushy or funky when thawed after freezing.
So far, I've got chili, chicken soup, beef stew, and meatloaf. Any other ideas? Not a fan of lasagna, so that's out. I'm looking for a little more variety. If you have favorite recipes, please feel free to include them..I'm making my shopping list now..
basically any casserole can be frozen, here are some tips and recipes from pillsbury.com
