Spaghetti noodles

Do you break yours in half? or put them in full into the boiling water?

I break them in half, just easier.

  • I break them in half too. I think they cook faster and they are plenty long enough even in half. If you break them slowly over the pot, you don't end up with pieces going everywhere.

  • I used to break them in half (ex demanded it). I hated doing it because little pieces always flew everywhere in the process. I leave them whole now. SO & kids prefer it that way. So do I, for that matter. I just use my big pot (dutch oven, soup pot, whatever) to accomodate the length.

  • My mom broke them in half, my husband does not...he likes 'em long, so I leave 'em long.

  • I like them whole, I just use a bigger pot to accommodate them and stir til they're all completely submerged.
