Anybody experienced in making marshmellow fondant?

I just made my first batch and it's sticking together, but the edges of sort of crumbly. I coated it with a little crisco like the directions I used said to, then wrapped it tightly in plastic wrap. Will it come together better after it cools in the refridgerator some or should I have done something else to it?

  • It should come together. Is it very humid where you are? If so then it may not. Humidity greatly effects how it turns out as does the air temp your working in. If I were making it Id have the AC on and the humidity as low as I could get it in the house. Iv found it's like making Divinity which is a type of white fudge candy. I just dont even try if the humidity is high.
